with Eitan Kantor

A weekly gathering to empower folks from diverse backgrounds to lead Jewish prayer services rooted in tradition and filled with song. This workshop will be facilitated by Eitan Kantor, alumnus of Hadar's Rising Song Residency, and will also feature periodic guest teachers. The beginning of the workshop will be focused on Kabbalat Shabbat (the Friday evening service), and will progress to other services. The course will be focused on Ashkenazi musical traditions because that is Eitan's area of knowledge. No prior knowledge, experience, or self-diagnosed musical skill necessary.
