MaTovu is excited to welcome D.C.-based baker Hannah Wolfman-Arent to lead us in a virtual baking class! Hannah will demonstrate the entire process of baking babka, a sweet braided cake which originated in the Jewish communities of Poland and Ukraine. After registering, you will receive the recipe and ingredient list if you’d like to bake alongside Hannah. The class will also be recorded and shared with participants so you can refer back to it when you’re ready.

The cost for class participants is $18/person. As an inclusive community we are offering our programs at a sliding scale and hope you’ll join us at the rate you’re able. Proceeds will go directly to restaurant workers at Sonny’s Pizza as well as supporting future MaTovu programming.
