"What do you see? How is it to be you?" ~MaMuse
How do we witness the suffering of our world and not turn away OR be consumed? How do we care for ourselves and others consistently?
In our culture, strategies of anesthesia & amnesia abound --- how do we grow beyond these coping patterns to find sustainable ways to engage with the world, with support from each other?
We need each other. Let's be curious and Sing into these questions together. Singing in community helps connect us with one another and ourselves, and helps build our bandwidth for grief, praise, pleasure, and play. When we sing together, we ground, attune, grieve, release, and celebrate.
Dynamic songleader Lyndsey Scott practices community singing as a pathway to mutual liberation, a reclamation of ritual wisdom skill, and an expression of sensual devotion. Lyndsey creates singing spaces that are inclusive, deep, and joyful, and MaTovu is delighted to welcome her to our community.
This type of singing is for all voices. You are warmly welcome to come as you are ~ tired or inspired or sad or angry or lonely or glowing ~ and experience an afternoon of interactive call-and-echo style singing, facilitated sharing, and community care.
