Community Lunch with St. John’s Church and MaTovu
December 17, 2023
1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
St. John’s Church
4136 N. Grand Blvd.
We had a phenomenal first community lunch at MaTovu last month! We got to know one another through informal conversation as well as discussion questions. We discussed our faith stories and what brought us to our respective communities, and we learned that we have a lot in common - in particular, our commitment to inclusivity and social justice. Now we are looking forward to another wonderful community lunch, this time at St. John's Church (4136 N. Grand Blvd). We hope you will join us!
These lunches are funded through a grant from Interfaith America. We hope that by coming together each month for lunch and dialogue, that we can create a community among folks from diverse backgrounds in St. Louis, and build bridges across the Delmar Divide that separates the St. Louis community racially, economically, and at times, religiously. This partnership is of great importance, value, and benefit to both MaTovu and St. John's. We are looking forward to strengthening our relationship through continued dialogue at our second lunch!
